i am so happy because we got a new computer yesterday! i still haven't figured out how to upload my pics yet, or much else for that matter. i am pretty computer illiterate. i will have to have darrel show me what to do. yesterday was also a big day for me... i registered ryan for preschool (finally). i have been meaning to do it for so long now. he doesn't start till the fall, but at least i have a spot reserved (it is so hard to get into a good preschool down here. there is usually about a year waiting list, so i was very lucky to get in). he may be way too bored, but the teacher said we could give it a try for a few months and then reassess if needed. there are a few boys from ryan's sunbeam class that will be in there with him, so that will be good. i guess this means that we won't be traveling as much. after the past few weeks, going to florida, san diego, and slc, ryan asked me on the way home from church, "mommy, what state are we going to next?" i couldn't help but laugh. the next major trip for us will be in july. we are going to darrel's parents cabin (by moab) for about a week and half. then we are driving from there to slc. we will probably be there for 2 weeks or so. i think we will only be home a few days in july. that's ok with me... get out of the heat for a while. it was 110 yesterday at my house. just a sign of things to come.....

after spending a week in florida, we kind of got the vacation bug. we left last sunday for san diego, and just got home today. we took the kids to legoland. i think that ryan and emily have had their share of amusement parks for a while. legoland was fun, but definitely geared towards ryan's age (3-4) to maybe 9 or 10 yr olds. there were not many rides em could go on. they do have a few fun play land areas and water play areas, but it was freezing (by our standards anyway... it probably only got to 60 that day) so we didn't even consider playing in the water and getting wet. it was really nice because there were no lines at all. we pretty much just walked right on all the rides. i would have not have had a good impression of legoland if we would have had to wait in lines. it's fun, but i think i prefer disney! we did take a ton a pics but our desktop computer crashed, and this ancient laptop i am using (thanks dad- i'm serious, it may be old but at least it keeps me connected) will not let me upload any pictures. as soon as we get the computer up and running i will post them. i just have to thank my wonderful husband right now for yesterday! he let me go shopping all day pretty much! he stayed in the car with the kids while i went to the container store, and shopped at fashion valley mall (probably my favorite mall ever). even after hours in the car with the kids, we got to go to utc mall. and, he didn't even say one thing about all the stuff i bought. it was an awesome day! next week i am taking the kids to slc for a few days. after that we probably won't go anywhere for a while. but i guess you never know, we might change our minds.
